But it’s complicated.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Thing is that Merkel’s Christian Democratic party needs more than 100 extra seats to form a majority that will allow it to govern. The Social Democrats are likely to stay out of a rulling coalition for the next few years. The AfD neo Nazis are out of discussion. The Left party won’t cooperate with anyone but the Social Democrats. In conclusion Angela Merkel needs to balance a coalition with her Christian Democrats, the business and markets focused Free Democratic party and the environmentally focused Green party. Good luck with that.

That’s a pretty solid voter turnout.

Maybe they should pick a celebrity television host to become Chancellor

Yes, apparently people vote in Europe, instead of bitching on social media.

I want to punch David Cameron in the face.

That’s a severe reaction.

His face is quite punchable. And the whole Brexit referendum shit was his idea, an idea that came in the worst possible moment.

Good luck to her, effective leader of the free world. She’s far from perfect, but looking at some of her counterparts, not so bad.
I wouldn’t want to discount AfD receiving third place either, not an encouraging trend. Maybe similar to how people ignored other similar groups in the distant and not so distant past. The great demographic experiment could be dangerous, too. I am sure Angie is praying that Silvester 2015 in Koln doesn’t repeat.

President Kid Rock
Good fucking god. If this happens, a giant meteor is the only hope.

How hard of a punch are you considering to apply? Just a bruise? Broken bones? Hospitalization?

German politics are boring. You’ve got moderate conservatives from Merkel, the moderate social Democrats from the SPD, the moderate liberals from de FDP, the dreamy greens and the backward Die Linke. And, obviously, the Trump like (without the charisma) populist mild Nazis from the Afd.
My point being, all parties with some power are a form of moderate.

President Kid Rock will win a close re-election campaign against Senator Jimmy Kimmel; ultimately decided by an Ohio recount.

Hey, moderate is what you’re going for. Unless you want another Trump.

Pretty sure security is still tight on him, but he deserves a good jaw shake.

The Socialists seem to be the biggest losers today. I think they would’ve worked better with the new President from France.

Moderate from a Euro perspective. There’s nothing wrong with a rational right or left wing party. Voters do need something to choose between. There’s a lot of space between ‘moderate’ and ‘bat shit insane’, like what the US Republicans have become.

Or Aronold Schwarzenegger. Wouldn’t be the first time an Austrian’s ruled Germany.

Merkel lost more than the SPD though (-8% vs -5% if I remember correctly), Merkels Party is however still easily the largest.
